Program Reference

The academic standards of the American Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication (AEJMC) for the year 2006 were adopted as a reference for the Communication and Digital Media program. Certain modifications were applied to fit the nature of digital media and communication programs, and to align with Palestinian and Arab realities.

Program Objectives

  • Supplying the Palestinian community with distinguished, competent media cadres capable of facing challenges and aware of the fundamentals and rules necessary to deliver their messages to target audiences.
  • Building the scientific, professional, and ethical foundations for students of the Communication and Digital Media program.
  • Developing specializations within communication and digital media to meet communicative advancements and new developments in the field of communication in general, and digital media in particular.
  • Focusing on digital media in a manner that aligns with the needs of the Palestinian community.
  • Making the Palestinian community self-sufficient in the field of communication and digital media.
  • Providing students with the necessary experience (through training) before they launch into their professional fields.

Program Outcomes

1. Knowledge and Understanding:

  • Possessing a high level of education based on modernity and realism.
  • Learning academic theories and models to enable students to apply them in real life.
  • Introducing students to professional ethics and a commitment to objectivity at all stages of media work to elevate the standard of media.
