
The Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University, in partnership with the School of Business at the University of Jordan, inaugurated its sixth scientific conference, titled "Resilient Future: Bridging Innovation, Business Intelligence, and Sustainability in Modern Business." Held on April 17-18, 2024, the event was led under the patronage of Prof. Abdel Nasser Zaid, President of An-Najah National University, and Prof. Nathir Obeidat, President of the University of Jordan.
During his opening remarks via Zoom, Prof. Zaid expressed his satisfaction with this fruitful partnership, highlighting the conference as a significant milestone in advancing collaborative research between the two universities. He emphasized that the event reflects An-Najah’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and advancing development, aiming to foster economic and social progress locally, regionally, and globally. Prof. Zaid also extended his gratitude to Tamkeen Insurance for their sponsorship, acknowledging their commitment to corporate social responsibility.
The conference underscores the importance of innovation and sustainable practices as key drivers of progress. It aims to bridge the gap between research, industry, and policy, providing a dynamic platform to explore transformative strategies that promote long-term resilience and foster sustainable growth. Prof. Zaid further highlighted the university’s ability to maintain academic excellence despite ongoing challenges, positioning An-Najah among the top-ranked institutions in both regional and global rankings. He praised the Faculty of Business and Communication for its academic achievements, international partnerships, and strategic collaborations.
Dr. Ra’fat Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah, noted that the conference takes place amid exceptional circumstances across Palestine and the Arab region. He stressed that the faculty’s pursuit of excellence in scientific research aligns with the strategic vision of the University of Jordan, fostering meaningful collaboration across diverse fields.
Dr. Jallad outlined the conference’s key themes, including business intelligence and analytics, digital marketing, financial innovation and accounting, financial technology, banking services, financial markets, macro-level innovation, governance, sustainability, and economic growth. He also expressed his appreciation to Tamkeen Insurance for their sponsorship, recognizing their role in supporting the event.
The conference features 75 research papers across six thematic areas, with contributions from researchers representing over 14 countries. Dr. Jallad emphasized the importance of the diverse topics in promoting universities' role in generating scientific knowledge and practical insights for the business sector.
In his remarks, Prof. Raed Yaseen, Dean of the School of Business at the University of Jordan, highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts in the dynamic landscape of modern business. He noted that the integration of innovation, business intelligence, and sustainability paves the way for a resilient future, benefiting businesses of all sizes, from small enterprises to large corporations.
