The Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University, in cooperation with the Palestine Exchange (PEX), concluded the activities of the applied competition “Your Stock Exchange at Your University… Learn and Trade.” The initiative provided a distinctive educational experience that moved students from lecture halls to a real financial market environment, embodying the concept of experiential learning.

A total of 30 students from various academic majors participated in the competition. They were divided into five teams that managed investment portfolios and executed actual trading transactions. Students engaged in practical challenges including financial analysis, risk assessment, monitoring price movements, and making investment decisions under the supervision of specialists from the Palestine Exchange and faculty academics.

The experience enabled students to gain a practical understanding of how news and financial data influence stock price movements and highlighted the importance of planning and discipline in investment decision-making. This was reflected in the level of financial and professional maturity demonstrated by the participating teams.

In this context, the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication emphasized that the initiative represented a distinguished educational experience that strengthened the integration between academic knowledge and practical application. It allowed students to practice analytical and decision-making skills and assume responsibility within an environment simulating real economic and capital market conditions. The Dean also expressed appreciation to the Palestine Exchange for its role in supporting applied education and promoting financial literacy among students.

The Faculty also expressed its gratitude for the support of CFI Financial Investment Company for Brokerage Services (Platinum Sponsor) and United Securities Company (Gold Sponsor) for contributing to the success of this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to developing applied programs and strengthening partnerships with economic and financial institutions to prepare qualified graduates capable of meeting labor market requirements.

At the conclusion of the competition, the results of the participating teams were announced based on a professional evaluation of portfolio performance and administrative tasks, with praise for the advanced level and sense of responsibility demonstrated by the students.

We congratulate our dear students on this achievement and look forward to more applied initiatives that connect academic knowledge with professional practice.
