The Faculty of Business and Communication hosted, on Sunday, December 14, 2025, the first session of a specialized training seminar titled “Introduction to Financial Markets and Trading Mechanisms,” in cooperation with a group of financial experts from CFI.
The seminar, which witnessed strong attendance from students majoring in Financial and Banking Sciences, served as an effective bridge between academic knowledge and practical application in the world of financial markets. The session was delivered by Mr. Majdi Al-Nouri, Financial Markets Analyst at CFI, who presented a comprehensive lecture characterized by depth and clarity, receiving notable engagement and positive feedback from attendees.
The seminar addressed five interconnected themes that combined theoretical and practical aspects of financial markets. It focused on establishing a solid understanding of financial market fundamentals, introducing the mechanisms of financial brokers and trading platforms, explaining Contracts for Difference (CFDs) and the associated risks, and clarifying the concepts of leverage and margin and their impact on trading decisions. The seminar also highlighted the role of key institutions influencing market movements and explained how to monitor economic events and analyze their direct effects on financial markets.
The seminar was distinguished by a rich interactive discussion session, during which CFI experts responded to students’ questions and inquiries, providing a valuable opportunity for knowledge exchange and strengthening the link between theoretical frameworks and the evolving demands of the labor market.
At the conclusion of the seminar, Dr. Raef Al-Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication, and Mr. Ameen Darwish, Chief Executive Officer of CFI in Palestine, expressed their satisfaction with the success of the event. Dr. Al-Jallad emphasized the Faculty’s commitment to continuing the organization of strategic partnerships with leading financial institutions, contributing to the enrichment of students’ applied knowledge and preparing them to become competitive financial professionals in local, regional, and international labor markets. For his part, Mr. Darwish expressed CFI’s readiness to continue cooperation and support in this field, in a manner that serves students and enhances specialized financial literacy.
