The College of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University concluded the specialized “Waed” training program, implemented in partnership with the Palestinian Islamic Bank. The program targeted 33 male and female students from the College, as part of its vision to link academic knowledge with practical application and to prepare graduates with professional competence and readiness for the labor market.
The program comes within the College’s orientation toward launching high-quality training initiatives that enable students to gain exposure to real-world experiences in leading national banking institutions, and to enhance their practical skills in modern banking fields, with a particular focus on Islamic banking.
The program included ten intensive training sessions covering key topics such as the banking work environment, mechanisms for delivering banking services, communication skills, cybersecurity, compliance, marketing and sales, the importance of human capital, as well as an introduction to financial products compliant with Islamic Sharia principles.
The Dean of the College of Business and Communication, Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, emphasized that the program embodies the College’s vision of building advanced applied educational pathways that broaden students’ professional horizons and enhance their competitiveness. He also praised the effective partnership with the Palestinian Islamic Bank and its leading role in supporting students and equipping them with labor market skills.
The College extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to the management and staff of the Palestinian Islamic Bank for their cooperation and outstanding efforts in ensuring the success of the “Waed” program, reaffirming its commitment to continuing the development of strategic partnerships that contribute to preparing qualified national cadres capable of supporting the development of the economic and banking sectors.
