In another remarkable achievement for An-Najah National University, students from the Departments of Radio and Television and Digital Communication and Media won second place in the “PYALARA Youth Media Award – Journalist Nirmeen Haboush Round 2024–2025.”


The award was announced via Zoom by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Palestinian Youth Media and Activation Agency (PYALARA).

The winning film, titled “Al-Kasrah Creates Strength,” was produced by students Aya Saber, Tasbeeh Hassoun, Karima Amarneh, Ranin Koa’, and Aya Jaradat, using virtual reality (VR) technology to address violence against women.

Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication, praised the students’ efforts, emphasizing that this success stems from the faculty’s partnerships with national and international institutions that enhance students’ creative abilities and practical skills.

He added that this accomplishment aligns with the extracurricular activities offered through the Radio and Television and Digital Media programs, which include courses in editing, filming, video production, and filmmaking.
