As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the link between academic knowledge and professional practice, the Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University hosted 255 Advertising, represented by its Director Mr. Sakher Alyan and Ms. Dana Ghazi, Head of the Production and Filming Department, in an interactive lecture for students of the “Introduction to Digital Marketing” course, supervised by Ms. Haya Arandi.
During the session, Mr. Alyan discussed the emergence and development of advertising agencies, explaining the essential components of building such agencies and risk management mechanisms in the advertising field. He also emphasized the significance of digital and electronic marketing, highlighting best practices in the advertising industry and the core skills that digital marketing students should master to meet the needs of both the local and global labor markets.
Ms. Dana Ghazi shared an inspiring journey from her professional experience, describing her career path since graduating from An-Najah National University and the role the university played in equipping her with the academic and practical skills that enabled her to succeed in the fields of digital marketing and content creation. She also underscored the importance of experiential learning and applied projects during university studies in enhancing students’ skills and professional readiness.
The session featured engaging discussions and active participation from students, and included video demonstrations on different types of advertisements and digital marketing methods, which inspired students’ upcoming course projects.
This activity reflects the Faculty’s vision to promote integration between theoretical knowledge and practical experience, offering students opportunities to engage directly with industry experts and gain real-world insights into media and digital marketing fields.
