The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in cooperation with the Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University, organized training for coordinators of the “Young Journalist” program in several directorates. This initiative aligns with the Faculty’s community service efforts and the Ministry’s vision to strengthen teachers’ capabilities in school journalism and digital media.
The three-day training included participants from the directorates of Nablus, South Nablus, Salfit, and Qalqilya, who received specialized training from members of the Faculty’s Communication Department on the role of media in society, news writing, photography and video editing, mobile journalism, and fact-checking. The program aimed to enhance the skills and competencies of the “Young Journalist” coordinators in targeted schools.
These trainings fall within the Faculty’s broader community engagement initiatives and aim to empower program coordinators to improve school media activities and engage students in producing meaningful media content. At the conclusion of the training, the Ministry presented a plaque of appreciation to An-Najah National University in recognition of its distinguished training efforts and hospitality.
