Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication, received Dr. Akram Hamdan, Director General of the Palestinian Banking Institute, in his office. The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two sides to bridge academic knowledge with practical application in the banking sector, serving development and innovation priorities in Palestine.


The meeting covered practical areas of collaboration leading up to the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Key topics included: developing vocational training programs and joint certificates in risk management, compliance, Islamic finance, and financial technology; providing internship opportunities for college students within banks under the supervision of the Institute; updating academic plans and curricula in finance and banking with joint courses; conducting applied research and specialized consultations in financial inclusion, digital banking transformation, and crisis management; and organizing joint academic events such as conferences, workshops, and study days with the participation of experts from the banking sector. Both parties also discussed exchanging expertise by involving banking trainers in teaching and academic exchange visits.

At the end of the meeting, both sides agreed to proceed with signing the MoU, with details and programs to be announced upon approval. The Faculty of Business and Communication reaffirmed its commitment to building sustainable partnerships that contribute to preparing professional competencies capable of leading transformation in the banking sector and enhancing the competitiveness of the national economy.
