In a remarkable achievement that highlights the creativity of both students and faculty, researchers and students from An-Najah National University, in collaboration with a researcher from the Hashemite University in Jordan, published a scientific paper in a globally recognized journal about the impact of board characteristics on corporate environmental innovation.
The paper, authored by Dr. Mo’ez Abu Alia and Dr. Aladdin Dweikat from An-Najah University, Dr. Rasmi Muqbel from the Hashemite University, and students from An-Najah university Taif Hanoun, Imtiyaz Shakhsheer, and Aya Naser from the Accounting Department, is titled:
“Can Effective Boards Drive Environmental Innovation? The Moderating Power of CSR Committees.”
The paper was published in the Journal of Financial Reporting and Accounting, which has an Impact Factor of 3.3, ranked Q1 by the Web of Science (ESCI), and has a CiteScore of 5.8 according to Scopus.
The study examined the effect of board characteristics on environmental innovation among firms listed on the STOXX Europe 600 Index, focusing on the moderating role of CSR committees in strengthening this relationship. Data were analyzed using the Refinitiv Eikon database, covering the period 2011–2022.
