To enhance students’ practical skills and connect them with real professional experiences, the Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University hosted Lebanese expert Bassam Al-Dahab, a leading specialist in organizing conferences and events internationally.
This session was part of the Conference and Event Management course taught by Dr. Suha Sabouh, who opened the session with a welcoming speech, highlighting the importance of the experience in enriching students’ knowledge and linking them to the job market.
Mr. Raed Dbaie, the university spokesperson and Assistant to the President, welcomed the guest and praised initiatives that enhance student experience and provide essential practical skills, affirming the university’s commitment to offering advanced interactive learning opportunities.
The two-hour session was divided into a theoretical part covering the fundamentals of conference and event management, and a practical part where Mr. Al-Dahab shared his experience in coordinating major international conferences. Eighty students participated actively, engaging in discussions and practical exercises.
Dr. Sabouh stressed that the session aimed to enhance students’ practical skills, especially in preparation for their projects simulating the International Youth Conference and the Sustainable Development Goals Summit.
Mr. Al-Dahab expressed his pleasure at the opportunity, praising the students’ enthusiasm and the collaboration with An-Najah University, now recognized as a leading university in the region.
This event is part of a series of training activities organized by the Department of Public Relations and Communication to develop students’ skills and prepare them for active participation in their future professional fields.
