As part of the Faculty of Business and Communication’s commitment to integrating theory with practice, the Digital Marketing Department organized an educational field visit to Palestine Cellular Communications Company (Jawwal) in Ramallah on Thursday, May 24, 2025.
The visit began with a welcoming speech by Mr. Bahi Swalha, Director of Human Resources at Jawwal, who discussed recruitment processes, job opportunities in the Palestinian market, and the critical role of digital marketing in driving national economic growth. He emphasized the importance of practical skills—particularly in artificial intelligence and modern marketing applications—to enhance graduates’ competitiveness.
Students learned about Jawwal’s marketing strategies, including strategic campaign planning, social media management, audience engagement analysis, and emerging marketing trends impacting the local market.
Mr. Mohannad Tahaiboub, Head of Innovation at Jawwal, delivered an interactive presentation on the relationship between marketing and innovation, stressing creativity as a key factor in successful campaigns.
The visit also included a discussion session on crisis management strategies, led by Mr. Abdullah Saleh, Corporate Communications Officer, highlighting marketing’s crucial role in turning challenges into opportunities.
Students were also introduced to “Reflect”, Palestine’s first NeoBank, and learned about its innovative features and services.
Dr. Raafat Al-Jallad, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Communication, expressed his pride in the visit, describing it as part of the faculty’s vision to bridge academia and the private sector, aligning academic knowledge with market demands. He noted that AI and digital transformation form the cornerstone of the faculty’s strategy for producing competent professionals, adding that this year will witness the graduation of the first cohort of Digital Marketing students—an important milestone for the Palestinian business sector.
Students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to experience a real-world corporate environment and gain insights from industry professionals at Jawwal, a leader in telecommunications and IT in Palestine.
