The Faculty of Business and Communication at An-Najah National University, in cooperation with the Centre for Accountability and Global Development (CAGD) at the University of Essex, concluded its series of international training workshops by holding the final session on Monday, September 29, 2025, titled:
“Crafting Compelling Literature Reviews: A Critical Approach.”
The workshop was presented by Professor Teerooven Soobaroyen, Professor of Accounting at Aston University (UK).
It focused on key aspects of preparing critical and effective literature reviews for academic research, including:
▪ Differentiating between traditional and critical literature reviews.
▪ Developing critical thinking skills and linking prior studies to the research problem.
▪ Structuring and organizing literature reviews coherently and academically.
The workshop witnessed active participation from faculty members, researchers, and graduate students, providing a valuable opportunity to learn from a distinguished international academic expert.
With this session, the Faculty concluded a rich series of international training workshops that embodied its commitment to strengthening scientific research, developing research capacities, and building effective global academic partnerships.
