Historical Background
The Department of Business Administration emerged in 1978 as one of the main departments of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Since its establishment, the Department has endeavored to supply well qualified graduates who are academically and practically prepared and are equipped with the required skills and knowledge to meet the needs of National and International Employment Markets.
At present, the Department offers a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (B.A). The B.A in Business Administration requires 131 Credit hours, of which part of them are University requirements and College requirements and the rest are compulsory and elective Department requirements.
Vision
As a major part of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative sciences, the Department makes every effort to provide an outstanding academic curriculum and researches in the scientific field. These efforts support the local society and Regional Markets by preparing students for practical life and/or for entrance into higher academic studies in the Management field.
Mission
The mission of the Business Administration Department is to reinforce the mission of An-Najah National University and the College towards a high quality education. It aims to produce and prepare competent workforces who have the required qualifications and necessary background needed in the field. Graduates will then be able to successfully serve the Domestic and International Markets. The Department is committed to excellence in teaching and scientific research and is committed to a continuous development of its academic staff.
Objectives
- Recruite the best qualified academic staff who are specialised in different Business Management fields, and strengthen the capacity of the existing staff.
- Develop a mastery of the knowledge base of gradates in the Business Management field.
- Demonstrate skills with the Local and International Markets.
- Develop the competency and skills of students in carrying out scientific research in the Business Management field.
- Focus on developing the communication skills of graduates, including the use of English language in the Business field.
- Build a positive attitude and perception of students for a better response to internal and external changes in the environment.
- Develop effective communication channels with the society as well as academic and business organisations.
Acceptance to major Requirements
A) The student must successfully complete
- 51121 Principles of Management (1)
- 51122 Principles of Management (2)
B) The student must gain minimum marks of 70% in each of the above two courses.
